Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) &
Instrument Instructor (CFII) Certificates

The Certified Flight Instructor rating comes with the privilege of passing on your flying skills to aspiring pilots. It is often the first job you’ll get in the industry, making it an exciting step for the beginning career pilot. As you teach, you can log the hours as your own, allowing you to be paid to build time! Many flight instructors move on to other careers when they have the required hours, but some remain in the teaching field. If you can handle the challenge, teaching others what you know about soaring on the wind is the very best way to grow quickly into a competent and highly skilled professional flyer!

The Certified Flight Instructor/Instrument rating allows you to take students into the clouds! It requires high levels of flying skill, because the first time a student enters zero visibility conditions can be a challenging moment. It is also highly rewarding for the instructor, offering the opportunity to see your students take big steps forward in their competency and confidence while they’re in the cockpit! This is one of the most enjoyable ratings to teach, and as with all educating, the instructor will learn a great deal in the process!
